You have the basics such as printing, glueing and scores, but there is much more to quality packaging than that.

You have the basics such as printing, glueing and scores, but there is much more to quality packaging than that.

PrintCosmo Packaging is unique in several respects, but our approach to quality packaging starts when our seller contacts a new customer. Our sales and design teams work with the new customer to ensure the best solution is reached. Designers create prototypes that the customer can assess and test. The article goes through our onboarding team, where managers from each of our departments sit around the table with our onboarding team coordinator to make sure all the details are worked out. We have procedures that tag new items to our production teams, so everyone knows that all hands are on deck for that first production run.

Our production teams are where the rubber meets the road. At PrintCosmo, we focus on being good at the basics of boxing. Printing, scores, crevices, holes, glue, punch registers, removal of cuts and unit display are the foundations we are proud of. “We are further refining our quality”” is part of our mission.

How do we further refine our quality? This is done through auditing. Every week, our production managers and department heads carry out a quality audit per shift on a machine team. That’s 40 audits a week. What are we checking? We check our machine crews for our quality system.

We involve our crews on a daily basis with training and quality expectations that build a culture of sustainable, quality-oriented staff. Commitment is the basis for carrying out these audits. If we have a problem, we maintain a solid cause using methods such as the 5 why and herringbone charts. We will work together and create a solid sustainable corrective action that will be tested to induce the process change in our plant’s DNA.

Quality packaging at PrintCosmo does not stop there, and the appearance and dispatch of the unit are the last pieces to complete the process. We check the units for the installation of the thrust material and the correct tires. We use cubes to ensure that the customer gets the most space out of a trailer. Customer service and shipping are constantly communicating through dock times to ensure that the customer receives their product on time.

Our service is second to none when it comes to hot orders or when our customer is bonding. PrintCosmo focus on quality packaging covers a broad spectrum, but we have solid processes and a dedicated workforce that sets us apart.
